Turkey passes sanctions against Syria

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has announced economic sanctions against Syria today, RIA Novosti reports.


They freeze the mechanism of strategic cooperation with Syria, ban the Syrian administration and businessmen involved in crime from visiting Turkey, freeze cooperation with the Syrian Central Bank and the financial assets of Bashar Assad's regime and ban shipments of weapons to Syria from third states.
