GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova) will consider the experience of the Visegrád Group(Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) in matters of international trade, investment and energy policy , said Georgian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Dzhalaganiya during the briefing in Tbilisi after the a two-day regional seminar on economic cooperation within GUAM and the Visegrád countries, RIA Novosti reports.
GUAM Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili, in turn, said that the experience of the Visegrad Group is extremely important for the members of GUAM. "This cooperation is very important, to judge from foreign policy priorities of the GUAM countries - approximation with the EU. This path has already been gone successfully in a short period of time by the Visegrad countries", - said Chechelashvili, highlighting their expertise in areas such as free trade and investment opportunities and the fight against international crime.
It is the third seminar in the framework of GUAM cooperation and the Visegrád Group. The first was held in Budapest, the second - in Kiev. The seminar in Tbilisi, was attended by representatives of governments, intergovernmental institutions and public organizations from 15 countries.
