EU urges Iran to resume nuclear talks

The EU member states' foreign ministers urge Iran to restart talks on the country's nuclear program, RIA Novosti reports on Thursday.

"The European Council urge Iran to resume talks, as the body is worried about the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program," the letter sent by EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton to the Iranian authorities reads.

The situation has worsened after the International Atomic Energy Agency published its report on Iran's nuclear project, saying that the country may be trying to develop nuclear weapons.
