Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan passed a military cooperation plan for 2012 in Astana, Trend reports.
Kazakh Defense Minister Adilbek Jaksybekov met his Azerbaijani counterpart General-Colonel Safar Abiyev.
Jasybekov noted that Azerbaijan pays special attention to the technical condition of military equipment. The two states cooperate in the modernization and purchase of advanced models.
The ministers exchanged views on regional securities, cooperation in political and military-technical spheres. Azerbaijan has experience in production of advanced equipment of interest to Kazakhstan.
The defense ministers noted cooperation of naval forces, including hydrographic navigation, exchange of information on hydrography and meteorology, joint navigation of vessels in the Caspian Sea.
Abiyev congratulated Kazakh servicemen on marking the 20th anniversary of Kazakh independence and expressed confidence that the sides will continue fruitful cooperation.
