Iran has announced readiness for foreign attacks and threats from foreign special services, Iran.ru reports.
Iran plans to mobilize its infantry and artillery on the main defensive points. Iranian Military Chief General Mohammad Ali Jafari ordered ballistic missiles to be prepared and taken to safety locations. Iranian air forces are organizing into groups.
Iranian air forces have Shikhab missiles using liquid fuel with a range of 1300 km. Tehran says that new models of the missiles have a range of 1900 km. Iran has about 12-30 launch sites for the missiles. It also has Sejil missiles with a maximum range of 2500 km.
A blast happened at the missile base near the Bigdan Village on November 12. General-Major Hasan Tehrani Mogaddam, “father of the Iranian missile program”, was among killed officers. The base was fully destroyed. Tehran says the accident was caused by missiles and explosives. Some media suspect Israel or foreign intelligence services in organizing the blast.
