Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has met French President Nicolas Sarkozy within the framework of the congress of the European People’s Party in Marseille, Trend reports.
Saakashvili said after a closed-door meeting that France supports Georgia as an EU member. It is Georgia’s only future without any alternative, he says.
Saakashvili is taking part in the 20th congress of the European People’s Party. The congress is focusing on coping with the euro crisis and saving the currency.
