High-speed train ‘Armenia’ will start work in a month

The ‘South Caucasian Railroad’ company postponed the launch of the
daily high-speed train ‘Armenia’ on the route Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan
from June 3rd to July 3rd, Panorama.am reports.

The postponment is due to a reduction in passenger flow as a result of
poor weather conditions by the Black Sea coast. Instead of the
Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan train there will be a train of the new carriage
park on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The ‘South Caucasian Railroad’ company is a branch of the ‘Russian
Railroads’ company, it is a concessional manager of the ‘Armenian
Railroad’ company, basing on the contract signed on 13th February
2008. The concessional agreement lis for 30 years and can be prolonged
