Gorbachev criticizes Kremlin's reaction to protests

Former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev criticizes the way the Kremlin reacted to the demonstrations held in Russian cities.

The former Soviet leader told Ekho Moskvy that he was surprised that President Medvedev rejected people's demands in such a rude manner.

After Saturday's rally in Moscow President Dmitry Medvedev said that he didn't agree that the December 4th parliamentary elections were unfair. "There is no reason for another vote," the president said.
