Iran launches new facility for civil purposes

Iran has launched a new nuclear facility for civil purposes, despite Western sanctions, RIA Novosti reports.

Avaz Heidarpour, a member of the Parliamentary Commission for National Security and Foreign Policy, said that the facility will serve civil purposes. It will be located in the Isfahan Province (Shahraz). It will be launched in three years' time.

The US, UK, Canada and the EU have recently passed new unilateral sanctions against Iran, targeting the Iranian Central Bank and petroleum industry. The West is trying to force it to abandon the nuclear program, which is of a suspected military nature. Tehran denies all the accusations.
