The US has lowered its flag in Baghdad as a sign of the end of the 9-year war in Iraq, Reuters reports.
US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta was at the ceremony. US President Barack Obama announced the end of war at Fort Bragg, California. The remaining 4,000 US soldiers will leave Iraq by the end of the year.
