Georgian parliament starts holidays

The autumn session of the Georgian parliament is holding its last session today, ending on the third Friday of December, according to tradition, News Georgia reports.

This year, the third Friday coincides with the committee week, which means that the parliament will close with a bureau session. The bureau session is held once each Monday of a plenary session. But it is not the committee week, so the bureau session was switched to Friday.

The Georgian Parliamentary Committee for Procedures and Rules said that the parliament will work in the off-schedule format.

According to regulations, the autumn session opened on the first Tuesday of September. The spring session opens on the first Tuesday of February and closes on the last Friday of June.
