The Yerevan office of the Russian Federal Agency for the CIS, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation hosted the signing of a deal with the Center for International Industrial Cooperation (UNIDO), News.am reports.
The sides want to activate and coordinate development of small and medium-sized business within the framework of Russian-Armenian interregional contacts. Special attention will be paid to creating new jobs in light industry.
Russia and Armenia will have a mechanism of regular contacts and industrial cooperation, development of subcontractual relations and outsourcing and joint development of industrial links.
The head of the Russian federal agency, Victor Krivopuskov, says that they will do their best to make the project productive and attract Russian business. The initiative will contribute to the Armenian market economy, UNIDO head Sergey Korotkov said.
