The Azerbaijani Ministry for Youth and Sports have founded the Youth Fund, according to the order of President Ilham Aliyev, ABC reports.
The fund will have 10 staff members. The Cabinet was ordered to prepare recommendations for legislative changes for the fund, its financing and technical support.
The fund is to stimulate realization of youth policy, development of science, education, culture and other social spheres. It will be financed by the Azerbaijani budget, loans, grants and other sources. The fund will also support youth theater, cinema, architecture, design, modern arts.
Head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration will appoint the fund's executive director. The Monitoring Council of 11 elected for 4 years will observe the fund's work. It will have 5 representatives from state structures, 2 international organizations and 4 NGOs.
