Putin holds government meeting in Chechnya

The Russian Prime Minister hosted a meeting of the government commission on the socio-economic development of the North Caucasus in Chechnya today, RIA Novosti reports.

Previously Putin said he appreciated the way the Chechen Republic is developing.

The Prime Minister said at the meeting held in Chechnya that the struggle with unemployment in the region is one of the government's main priorities.

Putin also stressed the point that government investment in the region is increasing.
