Russia still interested in CIS - expert

Russia is still interested in cooperation with other post-Soviet countries, head of Political Situation Center Sergey Mikeyev says as Moscow hosts the 20th summit of the Commonweath of Independent States (CIS).

"A group of countries, including Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, are still interested in multilateral cooperation in the framework of the CIS," Mikheyev says.

"Russia has no plans to cancel the initiative," the expert adds.
