The first group of Arab observers arrived in Syria from Cairo last night to prepare for the mission of the League of Arab States (LAS), RIA Novosti reports.
The mission involves evaluation of the situation in the country. Observers will investigate responsibility for the deaths of citizens. The Syrian authorities say that militants, including foreigners, are attacking state structures and houses and augmenting religious conflicts.
The monitoring group is supervised by LAS Assistant Secretary General Seif Al-Azal. It includes administrators and specialists in security.
