Russia ratifies agreement on customs code

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has signed the Federal law "On Ratification of the Agreement on the Customs Code of the Customs Union" which was passed by the Duma on May 21st 2010, and adopted by the Federation Council on May 26th, the Kremlin reports.

The agreement on the Customs Code of the Customs Union was signed in Minsk on November 27th, 2009. It was motivated by the need to form a legal basis for the Customs Union in terms of the Eurasian Economic Community and increasing integration between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, reports RIA Novosti.
