The semi-recognized Caucasian republic of Abkhazia has recently ratified an agreement with Russia on establishing a Russian military base on Abkhaz territory, RIA Novosti reports.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement it hailed the Abkhaz parliament's decision.
