Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has signed a set of orders for implementation of his message to the Federal Assembly, Interfax reports.
Sergey Ivanov, head of the Presidential Administration, was ordered to introduce projects of federal bills to the parliament by February 15. They include direct elections of regional heads and amendments to the Russian parliamentary electoral system with a proportional basis of 225 territorial districts.
Medvedev ordered proposals to be made on the formation of public television based on a federal channel by March, RIA Novosti reports.
The president ordered limitations to be set for deals between state structures and commercial organizations, the shareholders or heads of which are close relatives of officials supervising the state structures.
Medvedev also introduced bills simplifying registration of parties and candidates for president.
