Russian ombudsman and co-founder of the liberal Yabloko party Vladimir Lukin says he is ready to mediate in talks between the Russian authorities and opposition.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday he was ready to hold talks with opposition leaders.
Former prime minister, co-founder of the opposition People's Freedom Party Mikhail Kasyanov said he welcomed such talks. Former finance minister Alexeyv Kudrin also welcomed Putin's initiative and agreed to serve as a mediator.
