Azerbaijan is viewed as reliable partner - Elmar Mammadyarov

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov noted the success of Azerbaijan as a whole and its foreign policy in particular in the outgoing year, Trend reports.


Mammadyarov noted that one of the many achievements of foreign affairs is Azerbaijani membership of the UN Security Council. Azerbaijan received 155 votes and is viewed as a reliable partner.


The state was also elected to chair UNESCO as vice-president of the Intergovernmental Committee for Protection of Non-Material Heritage. Azerbaijan is a young state that marked its 20th anniversary of independence this year, its foreign policy is balanced and well-built, Mammadyarov notes.


The foreign minister emphasized that delimitation of the Azerbaijani border with Russia was concluded in 2011, the two states exchanged documents and ratified them.
