Barack Obama passes new sanctions against Tehran

US President Barack Obama has passed new sanctions against Tehran, Interfax reports.


The sanctions close access of foreign companies cooperating with Iran to the US financial system.


At the same time, Obama disapproved some points of the bill on sanctions concerning measures against foreigners suspected in terrorism. The sanctions were passed due to tensions around the Iranian nuclear program.
