All the legal formalities concerning the opening of Abkhaz and South
Ossetian diplomatic offices have been resolved, the foreign minister
of Nicaragua has said, RIA Novosti reports.
Samuel Santos said on his visit to Tskhinvali and Sukhumi earlier this
year that the sides were considering the details of the
earlier-achieved agreements. Economic problems in Nicaragua are one of
the reasons delaying the opening of embassies, he added.
Russia is currently supplying assistance to Nicaragua. On Tuesday a
Russian-Nicaraguan intergovernmental commissions session took place in
Managua - the first event at such a level for 18 years.
