The GUAM Parliamentary Assembly approved the working plan for 2012, GUAM PA head Elton Mamedov told Trend on Friday.
The GUAM PA will stress on realization of the Nabucco Gas Pipeline and energy security, settlement of frozen conflicts, education and science.
The GUAM (Georgia-Ukraine-Azerbaijan-Moldova) is a format formed at a summit of the European Union in Strasbourg in 1997. Uzbekistan joined the format in 1999, only to leave it 4 years later. At the summit in Kiev in 2006, the organization became international and got a new name, the GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development.
