A blast happened in the northern part of Tehran, killing one and injuring two people, RIA Novosti reports.
An unidentified motorbike rider attached a bomb to a vehicle parked at square of the Tehran Polytechnical University. Professor Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, Deputy Director of the uranium-enrichment facility in Natanza, aged 32, was killed.
Similar incidents happened in Tehran before. Professor Masoud Ali Mohammadi, a professor specialized in nuclear energy of the Tehran University, was killed by a bomb set in a motorbike next to his car in January 2010. Another nuclear specialist Majid Shahriani, his colleague Doctor Fereidoun Davani-Abbasi and their wives were injured by bomb blasts.
Iran accuses Israeli intelligence services of organizing the blasts. Iranian authorities say that the explosions may be an attempt to ruin parliamentary polls set for March 2012.
