Iranian president meets Ecuadorian counterpart



Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has arrived in Ecuador on the last leg of his Latin American tour and held talks with his Ecuadorian counterpart, President Rafael Correa, Press TV reports on Friday.

Ahmadinejad arrived in the Ecuadorian capital of Quito late on Thursday and received a warm official welcome by Correa in the presidential palace.

Earlier in the day, the Iranian president met with his Cuban counterpart Raul Castro, and the country's revolution leader Fidel Castro.

Iran's president is on a five-day tour of four Latin American countries. He arrived in the Cuban capital on Wednesday on the third leg of his tour after he paid visits to Venezuela and Nicaragua.
