Turkey's Erdogan thanks Georgian president for sailors

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has thanked Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili for the release of Turkish and Georgian sailors from Somali pirate captivity, Trend reports.

Erdogan said at a joint press conference, which was also broadcast by Georgian TV channels, that Turkey and Georgia have sound relations that will deepen even further.

"Our friendship enters a special phase. Our countries have close cooperation in economy, energy, tourism and military spheres," Erdogan said.
