The first incident between the US Navy and the Iranian Military Fleet in the Strait of Hormuz took place after Tehran threatened to block the international transport artery, Interfax reports citing CNN.
According to the information, the Iranian speedboats carried out provocative manoeuvers near the American amphibious transport-dock ship USS New Orleans, which passed through the Strait of Hormuz to the Persian Gulf.
This incident took place on January 6th. On the same day another similar incident took place near the Kuwaiti coast.
