Newly-appointed US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul met representatives of Russian opposition parties today, Ekho Moskvy reports.
The ambassador met head of the State Duma's foreign affairs committee and member of the Communist party Leonid Kalashnikov, members of the Just Russia Party, MPs Oksana Dmitriyeva and Ilya Ponomaryov, leader of the liberal Yabloko party Sergey Mitrokhin and one of the leaders of the unregistered People's Freedom Party, former deputy prime minister Boris Nemtsov.
