The violence in Syria must stop and a national, all- inclusive dialogue should start, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said today at a press conference on evednts in 2011, ITAR-TASS reports.
The situation in Syria needs a political resolution, he said. Russia supports the efforts of Arab League monitors in Syria, Lavrov emphasizes. Russia introduced a resolution project to the UN Security Council, which gained support of China and BRICS states.
