The European Union and the OSCE are realizing a program in Armenia worth 1.7 million euro to support democratic elections in 2012 and 2013, News Armenia reports.
The EU provides finances while the OSCE realizes the project. The program supports the public society, human rights protection. Electoral commissions and the police will undergo technical and specialized training. The project will help inform the society about electoral rights and procedures.
Armenia will hold parliamentary polls in May 2012 and presidential in 2013.
