Progress at Cyprus talks

The two-day talks on uniting Cyprus have not brought the expected results. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that the progress reached is limited, RBC reports.

He urged sides to exchange information on property and reach an agreement on citizenship after the two parts unite. The secretary general proposed a conference in April-May 2012 to discuss unification.

Ban Ki-moon met President of Cyprus Dimitris Christofias and President of the Turkish Republic of the Northern Cyprus Dervis Eroglu in New York. The UN head noted that he was not trying to persuade any side and gave initiative to leaders.
