The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a statement urging the U.N. Security Council to back an Arab League road map for Syria, Hurriyet Daily News reports on Thursday.
“The Arab League’s call for support for its January 22 action plan must not be left unanswered and it must be stressed that the international community is determined to fulfil its responsibilities in Syria, the statement released on January 24 says.
"The international community must “send a message to the Syrian people that they are not alone in the face of violence and oppression”," the statement says.
