Sergey Mironov, leader of the Fair Russia Party and candidate for president, has published his pre-electoral program, ITAR-TASS reports.
Mironov expressed confidence that strengthening democratic grounds of the Russian society and return of justice are the only reliable guarantees for the country’s future. The state failed to overcome economic growth from exports of resources, despite major reconsiderations in the policy.
Mironov based his program on the program of the Fair Russia Party, which had introduced him as candidate for president. The official said that he wants a socio-democratic course for Russia, formation of a fair and progressive society, with democratization of economic, social and political institutions.
The official wants to introduce changes to the Constitution, limiting the president’s terms of office with two terms per life. He also proposed to abandon the mechanism of handing power to a successor, formation of the Chamber of Accounts and high-ranking courts by the president, authority for the parliament to introduce and approve chairmen of parliament and ministers independently. Mironov also proposed formation of a coalition government and wants constitutional reforms to be passed via a referendum.
