Turkish president says Assad's time up

Turkish President Abdullah Gul commented on the situation in Syria on his visit to the United Arab Emirates, TRT reports.

Gul praised initiatives of the Arab League. He emphasized that Turkey does not want war in Syria. But Syria is at a stalemate. Everyone knows how President Bashar Assad will end up, Gul believes.

Abdullah Gul noted that Turkey is opposed to any foreign intervention in Syria. He supported the Arab League in initiating talks on the Syrian crisis at the UN Security Council.
