Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has awarded former Minister for Industry Victor Khristenko with the Order of Honour for contribution to the state policy in industry and longstanding scrupulous work, RIA Novosti reports.
Khristenko was dismissed as Minister for Industry and Trade and became a member of the Eurasian Economic Commission, a new constant structure for regulating the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan,.
Victor Khristenko will mark his 55th birthday in August. He became Chairman of the Board of the Single Economic Commission in late 2011. He had status of an independent international official.
