European Commission approves Turkish justice reforms

The European Commission says it values Turkish justice reforms, TRT reports.

The Commission called it a positive step. Stefan Fule, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, praised the Turkish efforts for democratic improvements.

Positive rating was given to lifting confiscation of books and complication of detention. But the European official noted that there was still a lot more work need to be done for protection of freedom of speech and justice.

Fule added that Turkey needs mass reforms to prevent passing verdicts against Turkey at the  European Court of Human Rights.
