As soon as Iran starts enriching uranium to the level needed for nuclear weaponry, Tehran will need a year to produce four atomic bombs, Israel believes.
Iran has gathered enough enriched uranium to produce four nuclear bombs, Israeli Military Intelligence Chief General-Major Aviv Kochavi said at a conference in Hertzliya, MIGnews reports.
The official said that Iran will need a year for production of 4 nuclear bombs after enough uranium is gather and then a year or two for setting nuclear warheads on ballistic missiles.
The general noted that Tehran had 4 tons of uranium enriched to 3.5% and 100 kg to 20%. He explained that Iran plans to become the regional hegemon. Despite further development of the nuclear program, international sanctions are efficient and have potential to ruin the program for nuclear weapon construction, Kochavi concludes.
