Russia wants to sign Gabala radar agreement with Azerbaijan before summer 2012

Russia wants to come to an agreement with Azerbaijan concerning the status of the Gabala radar station before summer 2012, RIA Novosti reports.

This was announced by the Russian Deputy Minister of Defense, Anatoly Antonov.

"We hope to end talks before the summer," Antonov said.

The current agreement regulating the status of the Russian radar station situated on the territory of Azerbaijan expires in December 2012.
