US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman recently discussed pressing political affairs, RBC reports.
Victoria Nuland, spokeswoman of the US State Department, said that the sides had discussed the effect of sanctions on Iran and cooperation to make the embargo on Iranian oil exports more efficient. Clinton and Lieberman talked about preventing nuclear weaponry in Iran and increasing pressure on the Islamic Republic.
Nuland added that the diplomatic officials had discussed the political situation in Egypt, Russian and Chinese veto on the resolution of the UN Security Council on Syria, and the situation in the Middle East.
