The head of Turkish intelligence, Hakan Fidan, and two senior employees were summoned to give evidence about the involvement of the organization Union of Communities in Kurdistan with the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Trend cites the TRT Haber TV channel as saying.
The link of the Union of Communities in Kurdistan is thought to be with the PKK's urban wing. It was widely discussed after several professors and activists were arrested.
The suspects were charged with involvement in various crimes including belonging to a terrorist organization, facilitating terrorist activities and attempting to destroy the integrity of the country.
