The Youth Forum of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation and the United Azerbaijani Youth of Ukraine have proposed Ukraine to set February as Khojaly Month, 1news.az reports.
Several organizations joined the Justice for Khojaly Campaign. Anar Takhirov, head of United Azerbaijani Youth, said that the campaign had started in 2008, initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Fund.
The campaign is to inform the world about the genocide Armenians organized against the Azerbaijani population of Khojaly on February 26, 1992, also known as the Khojaly Massacre.
Yuna Sheykhaliyeva, Chairwoman of the Ukrainian Youth Assembly, and Roman Grigorishin, Chairman of the Youth Center in Kiev, joined the Khojaly Justice Campaign.
The OSCE and UN offices in Ukraine will receive letters about the events and booklets and documentaries will be released.
