Berlin has hosted another round of political talks with Georgia. Georgia was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergi Kapanadze and Georgian Ambassador to Germany Gabriela von Habsburg, Germany was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Harald Braun and Plenipotentiary Representative of the German Foreign Ministry in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Middle Asia Ambassador Patricia Flor, Georgia Online reports.
The sides emphasized 20 years of Georgian-German ties. Special attention was paid to trade-economic relations and development of energy. The Georgian delegation informed about democratic processes, economic reforms and situation in the region.
Officials discussed Georgian integration in European and Euro-Atlantic structures, priorities for cooperation of Georgia and the European Union and prospects for their development. They talked on cooperation within international organizations, situation in the occupied territories, Russian-Georgian relations.
The sides expressed readiness for bilateral and multilateral relations and regular bilateral consultations.
