Georgian parliamentary opposition vouches for Valery Gelbakhiani

The Georgian parliamentary opposition vouches for Valery Gelbakhiani, former Chairman of the electoral headquarters of deceased businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili, so that he could return back to his homeland and visit his ill mother, News Georgia reports.

Georgy Targamadze, head of the Christian Democrat Movement, said that his party and Zaza Khatiashvili, Chairman of the Lawyers’ Association, are vouching for Gelbakhiani, who will cooperate with the investigation on return to Georgia.

Gelbakhiani has been away from Georgia for over 2 years. Measures within the criminal case against him have not been taken yet. The case has been frozen, some of the people involved in it have died, others have been released.
