Georgia and Afghanistan have agreed to establish an intergovernmental commission for bilateral cooperation, Georgia Online reports. This agreement was reached at a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze and his Afghan counterpart Zalmay Rasul. The Georgian Foreign Minister is on a working visit to Afghanistan.
Grigol Vashadze said that the meeting with his Afghan counterpart identified several areas for future cooperation. "Afghanistan needs our help to build infrastructure in the construction industry, to establish anti-corruption legislation and effective law enforcement institutions," the Minister said.
