A group of Israeli investigatos will arrive in Georgia today to study the terrorist attempt to kill a local Israeli diplomat, Izrus reports.
Israeli specialists will study the bomb. Washington expressed willingness to assist.
The Jerusalem authorities believe that Iranian special services are behind attempts to the organize the blast in Tbilisi and the attack on the Embassy in Delhi, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres said in an open letter.
Georgian Minister for the Economy Vera Kobalia said in Tel-Aviv that Georgia and Israel are working on the case together.
Washington and Tbilisi have a different opinion on Tehran’s responsibility. The US State Department warned against hasty conclusions until the investigation ends. Shota Khizanishvili, head of administration of the Georgian Interior Ministry, believes that a terrorist attack was not planned against the diplomat.
Iran and Hisbollah denied accusations of organizing the attacks. Spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast said that “Zionists are trying to ruin our good ties with Georgia and India, that is why they blow up their officials.”
