The chairwoman of Russia’s Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, is on a visit to Kaspiysk, where she will visit the Sports Center of Ali Aliyev, the Dagdiesel Factory, the 106th naval brigade and 414th marine battalion and the RusHydro office in Dagestan, RIA Dagestan reports.
Dagestani President Magomedsalam Magomedov, head of the People’s Assembly Magomed-Sultan Magomedov, Dagestani State Secretary Takibat Mahmoudov and head of Presidential Administration Hasan Idrisov had meetings.
Matviyenko emphasised socio-economic and socio-political issues. She noted that the region needs federal support and noted the reduction of terrorism. The strategy for socio-economic development until 2025 reflects the Dagestan’s development. About 17,000 jobs were created in 2011. Gross regional produce increased by 8%, agricultural by 7%, 1.21 million square meters of housing were built, wages increased by 15%, Matviyenko said.
