Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited Belgium on Tuesday, RIA Novosti reports.
He will meet NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen on Wednesday and have a meeting at the NATO Council. The two officials are expected to have a press conference.
James Apparthurai, special representative of NATO secretary general for the South Caucasus and Central Asia, visited Baku last week and discussed NATO-Azerbaijani cooperation. Cooperation of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia is realized within the framework of Partnership for Peace and the Individual Partnership Action Plan, the program for Process of Planning and Analysis. Azerbaijan and NATO signed the Partnership for Peace in 1994, starting their cooperation.
