Israeli security services and their colleges in Singapore have prevented an assassination attempt against Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, ZMAN.com reports.
Barak visited an aviation exhibition on Tuesday last week. The wife of an Israeli military attache was injured in a terrorist attack in India on Monday.
Three people were detained on suspicion of attempting to assassinate Barak. They are believed to be associated with Iran and Hizbollah. They planned an attack at the hotel Barak was staying in. Tamir Pardo, head of Mossad, visited New Delhi a few days before the attack.
Israel accused Iran of killing its citizens in Georgia, India, Azerbaijan and Thailand. Tehran accuses Israel of killing its nuclear specialists.
