Helicopters have attacked several positions occupied by militants in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, Interfax reports.
Clashes occured in forests near the village of Engirey at 10 am on Friday. Militants attempted to break out of the area. Helicopter attacks were followed by artillery shots.
